Eastern Ohio Education Services Center to Host Diaper Drive

The organization provides support services to children and their families from pregnancy to age 3 with its Help Me Grow and Nurse Family Partnership teams.

CANFIELD – The Eastern Ohio Education Service Center will be collecting diapers, training pants and wipes during Diaper Awareness Week Monday through October 3.

Donations can be dropped off at the Eastern Ohio Educational Services Center, 7320 N. Palmyra Road, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Donations are also accepted at the HBA office, 1240 Boardman-Canfield Road, weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday.

ESCEO offers support services to children and their families from pregnancy to 3 years old with its Help Me Grow and Nurse Family Partnership teams. The Help Me Grow team connects families with supportive resources, including providing diapers, a press release says.

The MKC project provides a number of layers distributed by the Help Me Grow team at ESCEO. The MKC project distributes more than 55,000 diapers each month through partner agencies in Mahoning, Columbiana, Trumbull, Ashtabula, Summit, Cuyahoga and Portage counties.

“Our Help Me Grow home visitors help overcome the barriers families face on a daily basis,” Megan Kline, Help Me Grow home visiting coordinator, said in the statement. “The pandemic has exacerbated many of these obstacles. “
