Master of Arts in Education: Educational Leadership

At Felician, you will cultivate the tools necessary to advance your career and develop management skills, organizational abilities, and ethical decision-making techniques. In this program designed for certified teachers, you will prepare to become a New Jersey State Supervisor or dual supervisor and principal approval. By participating in experiential learning models, you will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to take on leadership positions within the education system.

This program emphasizes innovative problem-solving through benevolent leadership, encouraging reflective practice based on professional knowledge of the program and teaching. To maintain a position of both educator and leader in the community and in various school settings, you will develop a solid understanding of the philosophies and principles guiding various models of leadership. You will also learn teaching philosophies based on local, state, and national trends, as well as how to use culturally appropriate practices.

By the end of the program, you will have developed a research project, a professional portfolio and will have completed a minimum of 30 hours of observation from a fully certified administrator. With a Felician education, you can be sure that after graduation you will be ready to face the complexities of today’s education system and even play a key role in its transition into the future.
