The Department of Educational Leadership (LED) takes a leading role locally, nationally and internationally in preparing a new generation of transformative educational leaders and policy analysts committed to the pursuit of scholarship and to service to those who need it most.
Single cohort model
Upon entering the program, students become part of a cohort that works together for the duration of the program. This model helps foster a more dynamic, supportive and collaborative learning environment.
Choose between EdD or Ph.D.
The EdD pathway aims to prepare reflective practitioners with the leadership and management skills needed to transform educational institutions and improve student learning in a variety of school environments.
The PhD track is designed for those who wish to combine a solid foundation of theoretical knowledge with an individualized orientation to analyze policies concerning K-12, post-secondary and adult learning environments.
