The MSEd in Educational Leadership program is aligned with the Professional Standards for Educational Leaders (PSEL) and provides an in-depth grounding in educational leadership theory, principles and practices such as school finance, education law special education, school-community relations, etc.

Who Should Pursue an MSEd in Educational Leadership?

This instructional leadership program is ideal for certified teachers with a bachelor’s degree who want to make an impact in their school and transition into a more formal leadership role of department head, vice-principal, or principal.

How long would it take to complete this degree and when can I start?

The MSEd in Educational Leadership is a Master of Science degree that can be completed in less than two years. Applicants for this degree must have a bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university, or its equivalent.

Students may also transfer up to three graduate-level courses, 3 credits, taken at a regionally accredited institution within five years of application and completed with a grade of “B” or better. The courses transferred in must be equivalent to one of the compulsory courses of the program.
